Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Riyadh ahead of Al-Nassr comeback

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Riyadh after completing his latest international duty with Portugal, as the 41-year-old prepares to resume his season with Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo arrived in the Saudi capital last Sunday, ahead of Portugal’s Nations League match against Norway. He is expected to join Al-Nassr training in the coming days as preparations begin for their next Saudi league fixture against Al-Diriyah on Friday.

Al-Diriyah are managed by Ronaldo’s fellow Portuguese, Bruno Lage.

The forward’s return follows Portugal’s progress to the Nations League quarter-finals, bringing his international commitments to a close and allowing him to focus on the next stage of his campaign with Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo’s partner, Georgina Rodriguez, posted photographs from inside the aircraft on her social media accounts, along with images showing their arrival at Riyadh airport. The posts confirmed the player’s return to Saudi Arabia before his expected return to club football.
