Rayan Cherki has dismissed reports of a disagreement with France team-mate Michael Olise, describing the claims as “another invention”.
The Manchester City playmaker responded after French newspaper L’Equipe reported on Sunday that there was tension between Cherki and the Bayern Munich forward.
The report suggested Olise had not always understood Cherki’s position, prompting speculation about a dispute between the two France players.
Cherki, 23, rejected the story on social media ahead of France’s match against Belgium on Monday, which is scheduled to conclude the current international break.
“Just another invention… what wonderful inspiration!” he wrote on his personal X account.
France have played three matches during the current international window, recording victories against Turkey (1-0) and Belgium (1-0), as well as a 1-1 draw with Italy.
Cherki’s post, published on 4 October 2026, was accompanied by laughing emojis as he denied the report.
