Moroccan youngster Rayan Zainbi earns Real Madrid first-team training opportunity
Moroccan youngster Rayan Zainbi has taken another significant step in his development after being invited to train with Real Madrid’s first team.
The 19-year-old forward has attracted attention at the Spanish giants after joining the senior squad for training, providing a major boost to his confidence as he begins a new chapter in Madrid.
Zainbi is set to continue his development with Real Madrid Castilla during the 2026/27 season following his move from Granada.
The transfer was arranged through an agreement between Real Madrid and Granada, with the Moroccan youngster joining the Spanish giants as the club looks to nurture his potential.
Before making the switch, Zainbi renewed his contract with Granada until June 2029, with an option to extend the agreement for a further two seasons under mutually agreed conditions.
The forward had already made progress towards Granada’s first team, featuring in Spain’s second division and gaining valuable experience against senior opposition.
His performances and development earned him opportunities to continue working with the first team during pre-season before his move to Real Madrid.
Zainbi is also continuing his development on the international stage with Morocco’s U-20 side. He recently represented the North African nation at the 2026 Mediterranean Games, adding further experience to his growing career.
His invitation to train with Real Madrid’s first team represents another important milestone and could provide him with the platform to demonstrate his qualities to the club’s senior coaching staff.
While his immediate focus remains on developing with Castilla, the opportunity to work alongside Real Madrid’s senior players will offer the young Moroccan valuable experience as he adjusts to life at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Zainbi will now hope to build on the opportunity and eventually force his way into Real Madrid’s first-team plans.
The youngster also has an inspiring example to follow in Brahim Díaz, the Morocco international who has established himself at Real Madrid after rising through the club’s ranks.
For Zainbi, the path to the Santiago Bernabéu first team remains a demanding one, but his latest training opportunity represents an encouraging early step in his ambition to make his mark in the Spanish capital.
