Tottenham plot January move for Club Brugge striker Nicolo Trisoldi amid Marmoush struggles
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to strengthen their attack in the January transfer window, with Club Brugge striker Nicolo Trisoldi emerging as a potential target amid Omar Marmoush’s difficult start to life in north London.
Spurs have endured a frustrating opening to the 2026/27 Premier League campaign and currently sit 19th in the table with just two points. Their lack of goals has been one of the major concerns, with Tottenham struggling to convert their chances and scoring only once in the league so far, in their most recent meeting with Aston Villa.
Marmoush has also found it difficult to make an impact since arriving from Manchester City on loan last summer, with Tottenham holding an option to make his move permanent.
The Egyptian forward is yet to score for Spurs in the Premier League, while the club are still searching for their first league victory of the season.
His struggles have reportedly encouraged Tottenham to assess their options ahead of the January window, with the club keen to add another forward who can provide a consistent goalscoring threat.
Trisoldi has reportedly caught the attention of Tottenham following an impressive spell with Club Brugge. The 22-year-old enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, scoring 23 goals and providing nine assists in 58 appearances across all competitions.
He has continued to show his goalscoring ability this season, finding the net five times in nine appearances.
Tottenham’s interest comes as the club evaluates its attacking options. Marmoush is considered more effective when operating behind a central striker, rather than being relied upon as the main focal point of the attack.
Dominic Solanke has also struggled to reach full fitness and rhythm, having featured in five league matches, while Richarlison remains outside the team’s plans.
The combination of Tottenham’s limited goalscoring output and the inconsistent availability or form of their current forwards could therefore lead to a busy January for the London club.
Trisoldi’s goalscoring record makes him an attractive option as Tottenham look for a forward capable of adding more firepower to their attack.
For Marmoush, the reported pursuit of another striker could increase the pressure on him to find his form and establish himself in Tottenham’s plans.
With the January transfer window approaching, Spurs are expected to continue assessing their attacking targets as they look for a solution to their early-season struggles in front of goal.
