Crystal Palace are considering a January approach for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee, with the London club looking to strengthen their attack during the winter transfer window.
The 25-year-old Netherlands international, who is of Nigerian descent, is reportedly on Palace’s shortlist despite having only recently joined Manchester United. He remains under contract at Old Trafford until 30 June 2029, with the agreement including an option for a further season.
Manchester United have already set their asking price for a possible departure, according to Manutd Addicts. The club would reportedly demand about £25m, which is close to 30m euros, for the striker.
That valuation could encourage Crystal Palace to step up their interest in the coming weeks. A move would give Zirkzee a fresh stage in his Premier League career only months after his arrival at Manchester United.
Discussions between the two clubs could also be influenced by Manchester United’s interest in Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta, according to Football Insider. The possibility of negotiations involving both players could help facilitate contact between the clubs.
Zirkzee’s estimated market value is 20m euros, according to Transfermarkt. His annual salary in England is listed as 6,556,231 euros, equivalent to 4,261,550,150 FCFA.
Manchester United are due to play Tottenham in their sixth match of the English championship in the near future.
