Ticket problems threaten to overshadow Saudi Arabia v Qatar Gulf 27 semi-final

Technical difficulties during the payment process have disrupted ticket sales for the Gulf 27 semi-final between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with reports suggesting demand has so far been lower than expected.

According to Saudi broadcaster Al Arabiya, supporters have struggled to complete their purchases because of problems occurring specifically at the payment stage. The issue has made it difficult for some fans to secure tickets despite their desire to attend the match in person.

The fixture is one of the most anticipated games of the tournament, with both teams aiming to reach the Gulf 27 final. However, uncertainty over ticket availability and the problems affecting the booking process have become a major talking point before kick-off.

Al Arabiya also reported that 16,600 free tickets have been distributed to Saudi supporters. The move is intended to strengthen the presence of Saudi Arabia fans in the stands and provide additional support for the national team in its meeting with Qatar.

In addition, the Qatar Football Association has bought 700 tickets to distribute among Qatar supporters in Jeddah. The allocation is designed to ensure the Qatari team has backing from its own fans during the semi-final.

The two teams are preparing for a match carrying significant importance, with a place in the Gulf 27 final at stake. While attention remains focused on the contest on the pitch, the arrangements for supporters and the continuing ticket difficulties are also central to the build-up.
