Four football bets to watch on 3 October, including Harry Kane to score

Arthur Wandji, a sports-betting expert and Cameroonian journalist, has selected four matches for a combined bet on 3 October, featuring Spain against Czech Republic, Harry Kane to score for England, and a low-scoring contest between Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon.

Spain v Czech Republic – 18:45 GMT

Recommended bet: Spain to be leading 2-0 at some point in the match (odds: 1.32)

Spain have won both of their opening Nations League matches, including a 4-1 victory against Croatia. Lamine Yamal scored in each of those first two games and remains a key part of a Spanish attack that has made the stronger impression.

Czech Republic, by contrast, have lost their opening two matches and have conceded an average of two goals across their past five internationals. They will be without Pavel Sulc through suspension and Adam Karabec because of injury, while Ferran Torres is unavailable for Spain.

Spain are also unbeaten in their past seven meetings with Czech Republic. Their superior attacking form makes a 2-0 lead at some stage of the game a plausible outcome.

Croatia v England – 16:00 GMT

Recommended bet: Harry Kane to score (odds: 1.86)

Harry Kane has scored in England’s two previous matches, against Czech Republic and Spain, and remains the team’s main attacking reference point.

The England captain is expected to start despite a number of absences from the squad, including Nico O’Reilly, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford and Declan Rice. Croatia also have several defensive doubts to manage.

Given Kane’s attacking output and his status as England’s first-choice centre-forward, the market for him to score is viewed as the most attractive option in this fixture.

Cote d’Ivoire v Cameroon – 19:00 GMT

Recommended bet: Cote d’Ivoire or draw, with fewer than 3.5 total goals (odds: 1.41)

Cote d’Ivoire have won their past two matches 2-0, while Cameroon conceded against Congo in a 1-1 draw and against Comoros in a 3-1 defeat.

The head-to-head record points towards a tight contest, with the last five meetings between the Elephants and the Indomitable Lions producing fewer than 3.5 goals. That total has also been respected in each of Cote d’Ivoire’s past eight home matches.

Wilfried Singo and Amad Diallo are unavailable for Cote d’Ivoire, while Christian Kofane is out for Cameroon. The figures suggest a low-scoring game, with Cote d’Ivoire considered the more likely side to avoid defeat.

Russia v Namibia – 15:00 GMT

Recommended bet: Russia to win more than 5.5 corners (odds: 1.40)

Russia, ranked 35th in the FIFA rankings, are favourites for this friendly. They have won their past three matches without conceding, beating Burkina Faso and Trinidad and Tobago 3-0 before a 2-0 victory against Iran.

Russia have averaged 7.5 corners per match recently and have recorded at least six corners in 70% of their past 10 games. Namibia arrive after a 1-0 defeat by Comoros and have produced little in attack.

Russia’s corner statistics, combined with the likelihood of territorial dominance, support the selection of more than 5.5 corners for the hosts.

Odds may change.
