The Women’s U20 World Cup is being staged for the 10th time this year, with DPR Korea holding the record for the most titles.
DPR Korea are also the reigning champions, having won the past two editions. Their latest successes followed earlier triumphs in 2008, when the competition was first held, and in 2016.

Only France and Spain, from outside Asia, have won the Women’s U20 World Cup. Spain have also been among the most consistent teams, finishing as runners-up several times and collecting three third-place finishes.
