Sizwe Sibiya has resigned as head coach of TS Galaxy Queens, with the club currently fourth in the Hollywoodbets Super League’s Super Era stream.
Sibiya confirmed his decision in a letter seen by IDiski Times. He described stepping down as a difficult decision and thanked TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi for giving him the opportunity to lead the club.
The 2026 campaign is Sibiya’s third with the side, having remained in charge since TS Galaxy acquired the status of Vasco Da Gama in 2023. Under his leadership, the team finished inside the top five before the league introduced its new two-stream format.
TS Galaxy Queens have taken 16 points from nine matches and sit fourth in the Super Era stream. Sibiya’s departure comes with the club still competing in the early stages of the current league campaign.
However, concerns over unpaid wages have also emerged at the club.
Players and members of the technical team are understood to have experienced irregular salary payments since the beginning of 2026. By September this year, players and some members of the technical staff had reportedly gone at least four months without receiving their wages.
They had also not been given an explanation by the club’s management, according to information obtained by IDiski Times.
TS Galaxy Queens are scheduled to face Diepkloof Ladies in a league match in the Eastern Cape on Friday 2 October. IDiski Times has learned that the technical team and some senior players will not travel for the fixture.
The club’s position regarding Sibiya’s resignation, the reported salary delays and the decision over personnel travelling to the match was not included in the source report.
