Wydad suffer another injury blow as Ahmed Ghilouf picks up knee problem

Wydad Athletic Club have suffered another injury setback after Ahmed Ghilouf was forced to undergo medical examinations following a knee injury sustained in training.

Ghilouf was injured during Tuesday’s training session as the Casablanca club prepared for their upcoming matches, according to Moroccan newspaper Al-Sabah.

The midfielder was taken for X-ray examinations under the supervision of Wydad’s medical staff to determine the extent of the injury.

Ghilouf returns after loan spell

Ghilouf returned to Wydad after spending last season on loan at Chabab Mohammedia.

The player had previously represented Chabab Mohammedia before returning to the Casablanca giants, but he has yet to feature prominently in the plans of Wydad’s current coach.

The latest injury adds to Wydad’s concerns as the club continues preparations for its upcoming fixtures.

Ghilouf’s medical assessment will determine the seriousness of the problem and how long he could be sidelined.
