Yemen’s Gulf Cup 27 fixtures, results and full Group B guide

Yemen will face United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain in Group B at the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia from 23 September to 6 October 2026.

The tournament will feature eight national teams, divided into two groups of four. The competition’s regulations require the teams to be drawn from four separate seeding levels, with one team from each level placed in every group.

The opening stage will be played as a single round-robin, meaning each side will play three matches against the other teams in its group. Yemen will therefore begin its campaign against United Arab Emirates before taking on Qatar and Bahrain.

Group A contains Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Kuwait. It is regarded as one of the most closely matched sections because of the similar levels of experience and quality among its teams.

Group B consists of United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Yemen. All four sides will be aiming to finish in the top two and reach the knockout stage.

The leading two teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The Group A winners will play the Group B runners-up, while the Group B winners will meet the Group A runners-up.

The two semi-final winners will progress to the final, which will decide the champions of the 27th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup.
