Trabzonspor plot permanent move for Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana

Trabzonspor are reportedly preparing to make a permanent move for Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana at the end of the 2026/27 season.

The Cameroon international is currently spending the season in Turkey on loan from Manchester United after falling out of the club’s plans at Old Trafford.

Trabzonspor are keen to retain Onana beyond his temporary spell and are understood to be exploring the possibility of reaching a permanent agreement with the Premier League giants.

Manchester United are reportedly seeking around €10 million for the 30-year-old goalkeeper. However, Trabzonspor do not intend to meet the full asking price and are expected to negotiate with the English club for a lower transfer fee.

The Turkish club’s management is also expected to hold discussions with Onana’s representatives as they assess the possibility of keeping him on a long-term basis.

Onana remains under contract with Manchester United until 30 June 2028, but his departure from Old Trafford could become permanent if Trabzonspor can reach an agreement with the Red Devils.

Negotiations are expected to take place as the Turkish side work towards finding a deal that would allow the Cameroon goalkeeper to continue his career in Turkey after the conclusion of his loan spell.
