Bayern eyes new deal for Olise, but winger wants exit clause first

Bayern Munich are preparing a major contract offer for Michael Olise, but the French winger reportedly wants a release clause before extending his stay.

The club hope to tie the 24-year-old down until 2032, replacing his current deal that expires in June 2029.

Bayern rejected Real Madrid’s interest during the summer and were under no obligation to negotiate because Olise’s existing contract contains no exit clause. However, the German champions know that a new agreement will require compromise.

Reports suggest Bayern are ready to raise Olise’s annual net salary from €14 million to €25 million from 2027, placing him alongside Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala among the club’s highest earners. Sporting director Max Eberl recently praised Olise’s “extraordinary progress” while emphasising that he still has three years remaining on his deal.

Olise’s representatives, led by agent Glen Tweneboah, are said to want a release clause that would preserve the player’s freedom if Madrid return. Bayern may accept, although the figure could exceed €200 million.

Olise scored 22 goals and supplied 31 assists in 52 appearances last season. He has added four Bundesliga goals in four games this term, underlining why Bayern are eager to secure his future.
