Mohamed Salah’s move to Trabzonspor has continued to generate a major commercial impact for the Turkish club, with shirt sales reportedly soaring since his arrival.

The Egypt international joined Trabzonspor during the summer on a free transfer after ending his contract with Liverpool and leaving the Premier League club at the end of last season.

Salah signed a two-year deal that will keep him at Trabzonspor until June 2028, with an annual salary reported at €17 million.

Trabzonspor reportedly sold 116,000 shirts during September this year, compared to 46,000 during the same month last year.

According to Google search data covering the last 90 days, Trabzonspor ranked as the most-searched term in Egypt, while the city of Trabzon occupied second place.

The increased attention has also been reflected in tourism figures.

Trabzon welcomed 3,170 Egyptian visitors during the first seven months of 2026, with the number representing a 14 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Salah’s influence has not been limited to commercial activities, with the 34-year-old also making a strong impact on the pitch.

The Egyptian attacker has scored seven goals in the Turkish league this season, including a hat-trick against Galatasaray in Trabzonspor’s most recent domestic fixture.

His performances have quickly endeared him to the Trabzonspor supporters, while his presence continues to generate significant interest in both the club and the city.

The growing shirt sales, search interest and increase in Egyptian visitors underline the attention Salah has brought to Trabzonspor since completing his move to Turkey.
