Fikayo Tomori’s AC Milan future in doubt as Juventus show interest

Fikayo Tomori’s position at AC Milan is becoming increasingly uncertain, with the club reportedly not planning to extend the England defender’s contract.

Tomori, who is of Nigerian descent, joined AC Milan from Chelsea in 2021 and remains under contract with the Rossoneri until June 2027. However, his lack of involvement this season has raised the possibility of an earlier departure from the Italian club.

The 28-year-old was left out of the first-team group during the summer before being brought back into the squad by the Milan coaching staff. Despite that return, he has yet to play a single minute this season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the situation could lead AC Milan and Tomori to consider ending their association before his contract expires. A move during the next winter transfer window is possible if a suitable offer arrives.

AC Milan are understood to be planning ahead in defence while also looking to reduce their wage bill. Selling Tomori would allow the club to bring in a transfer fee for a player whose deal still runs until June 2027.

Ekrem Konur reports that Juventus are interested in the defender. Tomori’s market value is estimated at 10 million euros.

AC Milan are due to face Sassuolo in their next match, in the sixth round of the Italian championship.
