Egypt youth team name attacking trio for Colombia clash in Friendship Tournament

Egypt youth team manager Hussein Abdel Latif has selected an attacking approach for his side’s meeting with Colombia in the international Friendship Tournament in Switzerland.

The match is part of Egypt’s preparations for the World Cup, which takes place in November. Egypt youth team are due to face Colombia later in the tournament.

The attacking trio of Adham Haseeb, Ahmed Safwat and Khaled Mokhtar are also stated as being included in Egypt’s team to face South Korea.

Egypt’s announced line-up is:

Goalkeeper: Abdel Aziz Mahmoud

Defenders: Amir Hassan, Mohamed El-Sayed, Adel Alaa, Adam Youssef, Mohamed Gamal

Midfielders: Ahmed Bashir, Daniel Tamer

Forwards: Adham Haseeb, Amir Abu Al-Ezz, Ahmed Safwat

The team began the Friendship Tournament with a victory over South Korea. Egypt won 4-2 on penalties after the match was decided from the spot.

Egypt then suffered a 2-1 defeat by England in their second fixture of the competition.

The tournament in Switzerland forms part of the side’s preparation programme ahead of their participation in the World Cup in November.
