Egypt 5-0 South Sudan: Hossam Hassan records biggest win as Pharaohs manager

Hossam Hassan secured the biggest victory of his tenure as Egypt manager as his side beat South Sudan 5-0 in the second round of qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

Omar Marmoush scored twice, while Zico, Ibrahim Adel and Hamza Abdelkarim were also on target for Egypt.

The result is the largest margin of victory achieved by Egypt since Hassan took charge of the national team.

It surpasses the 4-0 friendly win over Saudi Arabia and the 4-0 victory against Botswana in the previous Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

Egypt have now played 37 matches under Hassan. They have won 21 of those games, drawn 10 and lost six.
