Senegal make tactical changes for Ethiopia clash in 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying

Senegal have switched to a three-man defence for Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia, with Malang Sarr making his first start for the national team.

The Lions drew 1-1 away to Mozambique in their opening match and will be looking to respond when they face Ethiopia at 13:00 GMT.

Manager Vieira has altered his system in an attempt to give Senegal greater attacking threat. Malang Sarr comes into the starting line-up alongside Moussa Niakhate and Sadibou Sane in defence.

Assane Diao has been selected as the right wing-back, while Ibrahim Mbaye, Nicolas Jackson and Abdallah Sima form the attacking options.
