Egyptian winger Amr Warda returns to Larissa on one-year deal

Egyptian international Amr Warda has officially returned to Greek football after signing for Larissa FC during the summer transfer window.

The experienced attacking midfielder has joined the club on a one-year contract and is expected to play a huge role for the side.

Warda arrives as a free agent and will begin another spell with a club he already knows well, having previously represented Larissa on several occasions.

The Egyptian enjoyed a productive campaign with the Greek side during the 2019/20 season, registering seven goals and six assists.

His latest return further extends Warda’s long association with Greek football, where he has spent a significant part of his professional career.

The 32-year-old first moved to Greece in 2015 when he joined Panetolikos, remaining with the club until 2017.

He subsequently had spells with PAOK and Larissa before moving around several clubs in the Greek league.

Warda represented PAOK between 2018 and 2021 and also played for Volos during the 2020/21 season.

His career also included a spell with Panserraikos in 2024, adding another Greek club to his extensive experience in the country.

Larissa have also been a familiar destination for Warda, with the Egyptian having represented the club during the 2017/18 and 2019/20 seasons before returning again for the 2024/25 campaign.

His latest move means Warda will once again wear the Larissa shirt as he looks to contribute his experience and attacking qualities to the team.

The one-year agreement gives the Egyptian another opportunity to continue his career in a league where he has already established a strong presence over the years.
