Former Egyptian Handball Federation president Mohamed El-Amin dies after illness

The Egyptian Handball Federation has announced the death of its former president, Mohamed El-Amin, following a battle with illness.

El-Amin had served as head of the federation’s interim committee before Khaled Fathy was elected president in the most recent elections.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Egyptian Handball Federation and United Sports extended their condolences to El-Amin’s family and expressed their sympathy following his death.

Funeral prayers for El-Amin are scheduled to take place after noon prayers at Al-Quds Mosque. His burial will then be held at the family cemetery.

His son announced that a condolence gathering will be held on Monday at Dar Al-Hegaz, next to Ahmed Orabi Club in Zagazig, Sharqia governorate.
