Nico O’Reilly ruled out of England’s Nations League meeting with Czech Republic

Nico O’Reilly will miss England’s Nations League match against Czech Republic on Tuesday, according to Sky Sports.

The Manchester City defender was absent from England’s training session on Monday, alongside Ezri Konsa, as Thomas Tuchel’s side prepared for the fixture. Neither player took part in the group session, instead completing individual training programmes.

Sky Sports subsequently confirmed that O’Reilly would not recover in time to face Czech Republic.

O’Reilly and Konsa both started England’s previous match against Spain and played the full 90 minutes in a 3-2 defeat for Tuchel’s team. O’Reilly provided the assist for Harry Kane’s first-half goal before making a costly error that contributed to England’s loss.

England will face Croatia on Saturday after Tuesday’s game, before ending the extended international break with another meeting against Czech Republic the following Tuesday.
