Zinedine Zidane considers two changes for France’s Nations League meeting with Belgium

France manager Zinedine Zidane is considering two changes to his starting line-up for Monday’s Nations League match against Belgium, after beginning his tenure with a 1-0 victory over Turkey.

The France squad arrived in Belgium on Saturday to prepare for their second match in the competition, which will take place on Monday.

According to Foot Mercato, Zidane could make adjustments at left-back and in midfield as he looks to manage playing time across his squad.

Andy Diouf, who was an unused substitute in the win against Turkey, may be brought into the starting XI at left-back in place of Adrien Truffert. Truffert made his second international appearance against Turkey and produced a strong performance.

In midfield, Lucas da Cunha could also be given an opportunity, most likely in the defensive midfield role.

It remains possible that both players will instead begin on the bench and be introduced during the match, which would give them their first appearances for France. According to L’Equipe, Zidane is considering sharing minutes among his players during the team’s second fixture.
