Lesedi Kapinga signs one-year deal with Kruger United

Lesedi Kapinga has signed a one-year contract with Mpumalanga club Kruger United, his agent Moshe Mudau has confirmed.

The 31-year-old winger is attempting to revive his career after leaving Orbit College at the end of last season. He has previously played for Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United.

Mudau, of Mushe Sports Agency, said Kapinga had settled well at Kruger United, also known as the Village Boys.

“He has signed for one year,” Mudau confirmed.

“It’s a great opportunity for him, and the club is looking after him well. It’s a good one.”

Kapinga made his first appearance for Kruger United in their 1-0 victory over TS Galaxy in the Mpumalanga Derby at Mbombela Stadium on 13 September.

Kruger United, newcomers to the PSL, are expected to rely on experienced players such as Kapinga as they aim to remain in the top flight.

They are 13th in the Betway Premiership standings after seven matches.
