Karim Adeyemi reflects on strong Barcelona start

Karim Adeyemi has made an impressive beginning at Barcelona, contributing three goals and three assists in his first eight appearances for the La Liga champions.

Despite his excellent numbers, the German forward insists he can still improve.

Adeyemi admitted that settling into a new city and club takes time. He feels comfortable in Barcelona but is still learning Spanish and adjusting to life away from Germany.

“I think it’s hard to say. I feel really, really good, but as for everything being settled… I don’t think we’re at that point yet. I’m not completely here yet. Now I have to learn the language, which is important to me,” he said.

The attacker attributes his explosive movement and creativity to instinct rather than formal athletics training. He says his best performances come when he reacts naturally instead of overthinking decisions.

Adeyemi has also embraced the support from Barcelona supporters. “I’m not a guy who tries to fake a show; I do my thing, I’m authentic, and I’m always honest,” he explained.

Regarding his output, he added: “I believe I can always give more. But I’m happy for every minute I play, every goal I score, and every victory we achieve.”

He welcomes competition with Gordon, believing ambition should coexist with a positive dressing-room atmosphere.
