Maghnes Akliouche faces early PSG warning

Maghnes Akliouche has received an early warning at Paris Saint-Germain after failing to register a goal or assist since joining the club.

Although Luis Enrique has given the 24-year-old significant playing time, the former Monaco midfielder has yet to produce the statistics expected of him.

Akliouche has had opportunities but has not converted them, and his lack of end product is beginning to attract concern. His performances in open play have generally matched PSG’s demands, yet goals and assists remain essential for a player competing at this level.

His omission from Zinedine Zidane’s first France squad has added another layer of pressure. Akliouche eventually received a late call-up after Warren Zaire-Emery withdrew through injury, but the initial decision highlighted how much work remains before he becomes a regular international choice.
