Marmoush must seize ‘final Premier League chance’, says El Mohamady

Former Egypt international Ahmed El Mohamady says Omar Marmoush has been given his last opportunity to establish himself in the Premier League.

Marmoush, who plays for Tottenham, is enduring a difficult spell in front of goal and has also struggled to make an impact in performances on the pitch.

The forward was unable to score as Egypt drew 0-0 with Angola in their opening qualifier for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

“This is Omar Marmoush’s final chance in the Premier League and he needs to reassess himself,” El Mohamady told beIN Sports.

“Manchester City gave him the opportunity by sending him on loan to Tottenham. I have a great deal of experience in the Premier League and I know clubs do not wait patiently. He will not get another chance.”

Marmoush has not scored since finding the net against Crystal Palace while playing for his former club Manchester City on 13 May 2026.

The Egypt striker has now gone 17 consecutive matches without scoring for Manchester City, Tottenham and the Egypt national team.

Marmoush joined Tottenham from Manchester City at the start of the current season on loan, with Tottenham holding an option to buy him.
