The Bees FC and Duncan Lechesa part company by mutual agreement

The Bees FC have parted company with head coach Duncan Lechesa by mutual agreement, with the change taking effect on 23 September 2026.

The club’s decision comes with The Bees 14th in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after five matches. They have won once and lost their other four games.

“The Bees FC and Coach Duncan Lechesa have mutually agreed to part ways with effect from 23 September 2026,” the club said.

“The club thanks coach Lechesa for his service and wishes him well in his future endeavours.”

Dominic Ramokgopa and Velile Zither will take charge as co-coaches until further notice.

Lechesa had been appointed only a few months ago, following a brief spell at Black Leopards, who were relegated.

Before joining The Bees, the former Free State Stars and Polokwane City head coach had attempted to keep Black Leopards in the division. He had also previously worked as an assistant coach at Marumo Gallants.

His departure from The Bees is the latest change to their coaching staff as they compete in their second season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The Bees finished 10th in their first campaign in the competition.
