Yassir Zabiri nominated for Spanish League young player award for September

Moroccan international Yassir Zabiri has been nominated for the Spanish Football League’s best young player award for September.

The Racing Santander forward has made the shortlist for the award for the second consecutive month after continuing his impressive form in Spanish football.

Zabiri among leading young talents

Zabiri features on a list that includes some of the most promising young players in the Spanish League.

The Moroccan faces competition from several highly-rated talents, including Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí.

His nomination follows his strong performances in August, before he continued to make an impact with his attacking displays in September.

The 21-year-old has quickly established himself as one of the notable young players in the Spanish League since joining Racing Santander.

Zabiri with Morocco senior team

Zabiri is currently with Morocco’s senior national team as they prepare for their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches.

Morocco will face Gabon and Lesotho in Group B of the qualifiers.

The Racing Santander forward will be hoping to continue his impressive form as he competes for the Spanish League’s September young player award.
