Molefi Oliphant has been appointed as the new president of the local organizing committee for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa 2014. He officially assumed the role on October 22, taking over from Chief Mwelo Nonkonyana. As a member of the CAF Executive Committee, Dr. Oliphant is committed to ensuring the success of CHAN Orange 2014, scheduled from January 11 to February 1, 2014, in South Africa. The tournament will be hosted in three cities: Cape Town, Mangaung, and Polokwane. Dr. Oliphant expressed his honor and commitment to serving the nation and making the tournament a success.
