Reneilwe Letsholonyane appointed head coach of Mochudi Centre Chiefs

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane has been appointed head coach of Botswana Premier League club Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

Soccer Laduma has been informed that the 44-year-old has signed an agreement with the club and will be officially unveiled in Gaborone on Friday.

Letsholonyane succeeds Spanish coach Miguel Corral Torreira, who left Mochudi Centre Chiefs this week.

“It’s done. He’ll be unveiled in Gaborone on Friday,” a source confirmed.

The former South Africa international is due to fly to Botswana’s capital on Friday evening from OR Tambo International Airport. He has been in Zimbabwe, where he worked as assistant coach to Thabo Senong at FC Platinum.

Letsholonyane already has experience of the Botswana Premier League. In May this year, he was nominated for the Coach of the Season award during his time in charge of Matebele FC.

He subsequently departed Matebele after reports that the club and coach were unable to reach an agreement over a new contract.

Mochudi Centre Chiefs, four-time Botswana champions, are currently third in the 2026/27 Botswana Premier League standings after three matches.
