Egypt v Angola: 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier date, kick-off time and TV details

Egypt will begin their qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations at home to Angola at Cairo International Stadium.

Angola will travel to Egypt for the opening fixture, with Tazkarti having announced that tickets for the match are available to book.

The Egyptian Football Association previously confirmed ticket prices for Egypt’s matches against Angola and South Africa, with 40,000 supporters allowed to attend each game. The prices are:

– Third class: 20 Egyptian pounds – Second class: 50 Egyptian pounds – First class: 150 Egyptian pounds – Executive box: 300 Egyptian pounds

The fixture will be played on Friday, 25 September, with kick-off scheduled for 22:00.

The match will be broadcast on beIN Sport 1, with Ali Mohamed Ali providing commentary. In Egypt, the game will also be shown terrestrially on OnTime Sport.

Egypt and Angola previously met at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, when their group-stage match ended in a goalless draw.

Egypt have never lost to Angola. The two sides have faced each other eight times, with Egypt recording four victories and the other four meetings ending in draws.

Egypt are in Group B of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations alongside Angola, Malawi and South Sudan.

The meeting with Angola is one of two matches for which the Egyptian Football Association announced ticket prices, with the other being a friendly against South Africa. Each match is set to be played in front of 40,000 fans.

The opening qualifier gives Egypt the chance to extend their unbeaten record against Angola while beginning their attempt to reach the 2027 tournament. Angola, meanwhile, will be the visitors at Cairo International Stadium for the first Group B fixture.

Tazkarti’s decision to open ticket reservations follows the announcement of the prices by the Egyptian Football Association. Supporters can attend the match using the published ticket categories, ranging from 20 Egyptian pounds for third-class seats to 300 Egyptian pounds for executive-box access.

The match will have coverage on both satellite and terrestrial television in Egypt, with beIN Sport 1 carrying the broadcast and Ali Mohamed Ali on commentary, while OnTime Sport will show the game via its terrestrial service.
