Gulf Cup 2027 winners to receive $1m prize

The winners of the Gulf Cup 2027 will receive $1m, while the runners-up will be awarded $500,000, Gulf Football Federation secretary general Jassim Al Rumaihi has confirmed.

The tournament is being hosted by Saudi Arabia from 24 September to 6 October.

Speaking to reporters, Al Rumaihi said: “The champion will receive one million dollars, while the runner-up will receive half a million dollars. The best player in the tournament will be awarded an apartment.”

Two matches were played in the Gulf Cup 2027 on Wednesday.

Saudi Arabia opened their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Kuwait, while Iraq drew 1-1 with Oman in the opening round of Group A.

The first-round fixtures in Group B take place on Thursday.

United Arab Emirates will face Yemen, while Bahrain will play Qatar.
