Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz says he hopes the Black Stars can find the inspiration to secure the right result against Ivory Coast in their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Ghana face the Elephants at Stade de la Paix in Bouake as they begin their qualifying campaign for the next Africa Cup of Nations.

Queiroz hopes Ghana can deliver

The Portuguese coach is expecting Ghana to rise to the occasion as they face their West African rivals in what promises to be a demanding opening fixture.

“We expect and hope that Ghana will have the inspiration to get the right result,” he said.

Black Stars begin AFCON 2027 campaign

Ghana will be looking to start their qualifying campaign with a positive result against Ivory Coast.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 19:00GMT at Stade de la Paix in Bouake.
