Danny Namaso commits future to Cameroon ahead of 2027 Afcon qualifiers

Danny Namaso has reaffirmed his commitment to Cameroon after playing an important role in the Indomitable Lions’ campaign at CAN 2025.

The international is now looking ahead to the next phase of his career with the national team, having made clear that representing Cameroon is a carefully considered personal choice.

Namaso said he is determined to establish himself in the squad and continue carrying the country’s colours, with the CAN 2027 qualifiers among the team’s main upcoming priorities.

“From the beginning, I wanted to play for Cameroon,” Namaso said.

“In the team, we have players who grew up in Cameroon. We also have players with two nationalities. If we reach the next CAN, God willing, the objective will be to win.”
