Egypt players celebrate coach Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan after contract extension

Mohamed Salah and his Egypt teammates have celebrated head coach Hossam Hassan and national team manager Ibrahim Hassan after the Egyptian Football Association renewed the contracts of the twin brothers until 2030.

The Egyptian FA, headed by Hani Abu Rida, confirmed the contract extensions following the Pharaohs’ historic campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Egypt reached the round of 16.

The achievement marked an important milestone for Egyptian football and strengthened the federation’s decision to continue with the Hassan brothers as the national team’s technical leaders.

Following the announcement, the Egypt players organised a celebration for the two coaches, with captain Mohamed Salah leading the congratulations and expressing his best wishes to the brothers for their continued work with the national team.

Salah, who plays for Trabzonspor, wished Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan further success and progress with the Pharaohs, while describing the celebration as a small gesture from the players to show their appreciation for the coaching staff.

Hossam Hassan was visibly pleased by the gesture and thanked the players for celebrating the contract renewal with him and his brother.

The Egypt coach stressed that the celebration reflected the unity within the national team and reiterated that everyone must continue working together in pursuit of further success.

The contract renewal comes at an important stage for the Pharaohs, who are now preparing for their next competitive challenge in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Egypt will face Angola on September 25 before taking on South Sudan on September 29 in their opening two qualifying matches.

The Pharaohs will then play South Africa in an international friendly on October 4 as preparations continue for the next phase of their international programme.

With Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan now secured until 2030, the Egyptian FA will hope the coaching duo can build on their World Cup achievement and guide the national team through another successful period.

For the players, the celebration provided an opportunity to publicly demonstrate their support for the coaching staff as Egypt begins preparations for the next stage of its international journey.
