Zamalek schedule friendlies against Modern Sport and ENPPI during international break

Zamalek will play two friendly matches during the current international break as they prepare for their next fixture in the Egyptian Capital Cup.

The Egyptian champions will face Modern Sport on Sunday, 27 September at the Cairo International Stadium’s secondary pitch. Their second game will be against ENPPI on Sunday, 4 October at Petro Sport Stadium.

Zamalek are due to meet ZED in the Egyptian Capital Cup on Wednesday, 7 October, following a change to the fixture’s original date.

The club confirmed the friendly schedule through its media centre.

Zamalek returned to training on Tuesday at the Air Defense Stadium’s secondary pitch after the squad were given five days off. The break followed their 1-0 victory over Ghazl El Mahalla in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

The defending champions are second in the league table with 13 points.

They have also reached the last 32 of the CAF Champions League after beating Djibouti’s Port 6-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round.

Zamalek are in Group A of the Egyptian Capital Cup alongside ZED, Wadi Degla, Al Ittihad Alexandria and Tala’ea El Gaish.
