Shabab Al Ahli Dubai thank Zamalek after Juan Bezerra transfer

Ahmed Gomaa El Bahr, executive director of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, has thanked Zamalek and praised the club’s supporters following the completion of Juan Bezerra’s transfer to the UAE side.

Speaking to MBC Masr, El Bahr said Zamalek’s fans deserved recognition for their loyalty and commitment to the club.

“I appreciate Zamalek and its loving, loyal supporters, who are protective of the club’s badge and shirt. I send them my thanks, appreciation and respect,” he said.

He also praised the way Zamalek handled the negotiations, saying the Egyptian club had worked professionally with Shabab Al Ahli Dubai throughout the process.

“I thank Zamalek’s board for its co-operation and professionalism during the stages of the negotiations to complete Juan Bezerra’s transfer,” El Bahr added.

The deal involved differences between the two clubs over its terms, but El Bahr said both sides remained focused on reaching an agreement that protected everyone’s interests.

“It is natural for differences in opinion to arise in transfers of this kind, but both sides were keen to reach an agreement that preserved the interests of everyone involved,” he said.

El Bahr explained that the two clubs had approached the negotiations from different perspectives. Zamalek, he said, was entitled to assess the value of its player, while Shabab Al Ahli Dubai had to determine the player’s importance to its technical plans.

“Zamalek has the right to value its player, while Shabab Al Ahli Dubai has the right to assess its technical need for him. The negotiations between the two clubs proceeded normally,” he said.

The financial details of the transfer will not be disclosed by the UAE club. El Bahr said there was an agreement between Shabab Al Ahli Dubai and Zamalek not to reveal the fee paid for Bezerra.

“There is an agreement between Zamalek and Shabab Al Ahli Dubai that the financial value of Bezerra’s transfer should not be disclosed by the UAE club,” he said.

He added that Zamalek remained free to respond to figures reported in the media.

“Zamalek has the right to confirm or deny any figures related to Bezerra’s transfer that have been published in the media,” El Bahr said.

Should Bezerra return to the Egyptian league in the future, Zamalek would have priority to sign him again, according to El Bahr.

He also revealed that Bezerra has been registered in Shabab Al Ahli Dubai’s squad as a resident player. If the player’s performances and technical situation create an opportunity for him to represent the United Arab Emirates, that option would be considered.

“Juan Bezerra has been registered in the team’s squad as a resident player. If there is an opportunity for him to represent the United Arab Emirates, based on his technical situation and what he offers to the national team, that will happen,” El Bahr said.
