Refereeing committee confirms Pyramids’ second goal against Eastern Company ENPPI

The Egyptian Football Association’s refereeing committee has ruled that Pyramids’ second goal against Eastern Company ENPPI was valid, while deciding there was no penalty for Pyramids in the same match.

The committee also confirmed that الزمالك were correctly awarded a penalty against غزل المحلة.

The decisions were published in a video analysing the significant refereeing incidents from the fifth round of the Egyptian league.

The committee’s full assessment was:

– The red card shown to a وادي دجلة player against القناة was incorrect. The referee should not have sent the player off. – Pyramids should not have been awarded a penalty against Eastern Company ENPPI for handball. – Pyramids’ second goal against Eastern Company ENPPI was valid, with no offside offence. – الزمالك’s penalty against غزل المحلة was correctly awarded. – غزل المحلة should not have been awarded a penalty against الزمالك.
