Al Ahly and Zamalek matches brought forward in Egypt Capital Cup

Al Ahly’s match against Petrol Asyut and Zamalek’s meeting with ZED in the Egypt Capital Cup have been moved forward by one day to 7 October.

A source from the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association told FilGoal.com: “The dates of Al Ahly’s match against Petrol Asyut and Zamalek’s match against ZED in the Egypt Capital Cup have been brought forward to 7 October instead of 8 October.”

The change follows an adjustment to the end of Egypt’s national team camp, creating an opportunity to bring the two fixtures forward.

The source added: “It is also to give both teams a good opportunity to prepare for the derby match in the Egyptian League on 12 October.”

Al Ahly will therefore play Petrol Asyut on 7 October, while Zamalek will face ZED on the same day.

Both matches are part of the opening round of the group stage in the Egypt Capital Cup, also known as the League Cup.
