Egypt claim 2026 African Under-18 Handball Championship title with win over Tunisia

Egypt were crowned champions of the 2026 African Under-18 Handball Championship after beating Tunisia 28-25 in the final.

The victory secured the title for Egypt’s under-18 national team under head coach Mohamed Ibrahim, a former Al Ahly and Egypt senior national team player.

The tournament was held in Abidjan, the capital of Cote d’Ivoire, from 15 to 22 September.

Egypt had earlier defeated Nigeria in the quarter-finals before overcoming Morocco in the next quarter-final, according to the tournament results.

Morocco finished third after beating Guinea in the match for third and fourth place.
