Kylian Mbappe reveals his dream dinner guests – and warns them about his cooking

Kylian Mbappe has named four people he would invite to his dream dinner, with basketball great Michael Jordan, tennis icon Serena Williams, singer Rihanna and his former idol Cristiano Ronaldo making the list.

The Real Madrid forward made the choices while discussing his life away from football in an interview with The Athletic on Tuesday. After being asked several questions about his sporting achievements, Mbappe was asked which famous figures he would most like to share a meal with.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Mbappe immediately selected Jordan, Williams, Rihanna and Ronaldo.

However, the France captain also issued a warning to his guests about his culinary abilities.

“I do not cook. If I start, everyone will rush back to their homes. Perhaps we should order something?” Mbappe said.

The 2026 World Cup has been followed by Mbappe’s current involvement with France, who are now under the management of Zinedine Zidane after finishing fourth at the tournament.

Mbappe explained that Jordan would be invited because of the influence he has had on him and because he wants to hear more about the former basketball player’s career.

“Michael Jordan is an inspiration to me. I met him once and would like to see him more to discuss his career,” he said.

Ronaldo, who is a Real Madrid legend and the current Al Nassr captain, remains a particularly significant figure in Mbappe’s career. The Portugal forward was Mbappe’s childhood idol before the pair became friends.

“Cristiano Ronaldo was my idol, and he is now my friend. I love spending time with him so that he can give me advice and support me, and he knows that I will always support him,” Mbappe added.

The Frenchman also chose Williams because he admires her achievements in another sport and hopes to learn from her experience.

“Serena Williams, because I want to draw a lot of inspiration from her in a sport I admire,” he said.

Rihanna completed Mbappe’s selection, although he suggested that meeting the singer could happen at a later stage.

“And perhaps Rihanna later. I love Rihanna,” he said.
