Adham Jasser ends talks with Zamalek over director of contracts role

Adham Jasser has confirmed that negotiations over his appointment as Zamalek’s director of contracts have ended.

Jasser, who had been considered for the position, addressed the club’s supporters after talks between the two sides stopped. He thanked Zamalek treasurer Hossam El-Mendouh and board member Hussein El-Sayed for their support during the discussions.

In a message published on his official account, Jasser said: “To Zamalek and its great supporters, I sincerely hoped to have the honour of being at the club and serving Zamalek and its fans, but it was not meant to be at this time.”

He also expressed his appreciation to the club’s board for selecting him as a candidate for the role.

“Many thanks and appreciation to Zamalek’s board of directors for their confidence in me and for nominating me for the position of director of contracts,” he wrote. “I would especially like to thank Hossam El-Mendouh and Hussein El-Sayed for their confidence and support.”

Jasser wished the club’s new sporting administration well, adding: “I wish the new sporting administration every success and support in the coming period. God willing, Zamalek will always occupy the position befitting its name and its supporters.”

He concluded his message to the fans by saying: “To Zamalek’s great supporters, we will meet again, God willing.”

Abdel Rahman Ismail was the last person to hold the director of contracts position at Zamalek, serving in the role last season.

Ismail was appointed during the tenure of former sporting director John Edward, before both men subsequently left the club.
