Ferran Torres reveals the Barcelona team-mate he wishes could join him at Paris Saint-Germain

Ferran Torres says Pedri is the one person he most misses after leaving Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain.

The Spain forward joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona this summer and has made an immediate impact, scoring seven goals in six matches under Luis Enrique.

Torres, 26, spoke about adapting to life in Paris during an appearance on the television programme El Hormiguero. Although he has quickly settled into his new surroundings, he admitted that the absence of Pedri remains a major loss.

Discussing the former team-mate he would have liked to bring with him, Torres said: “The only person I cannot take with me is Pedri… I miss him a lot.”

His comments were reported by French publication Foot Mercato.

Torres and Pedri developed a close friendship during their time together at Barcelona. The pair are also represented by the same players’ agency, further reflecting the strength of their relationship.

Torres had suggested that his former team-mate was someone who would naturally have found a place in Paris before identifying Pedri as the person he most wished could have joined him.

Despite his impressive start with Paris Saint-Germain, Torres appears to regard Pedri’s absence as the one disappointing aspect of beginning a new chapter in his career. He has otherwise adapted quickly to Luis Enrique’s side and continued his progress away from Barcelona, but is now pursuing that path without one of his closest friends.
