Egypt U18 handball team reach African final after Morocco rout

Egypt’s under-18 handball team reached the final of the African Nations Championship in Abidjan after beating Morocco 44-12.

The result extended Egypt’s winning run at the tournament, which is being held in Abidjan, the capital of Cote d’Ivoire.

Egypt will face the winner of the other semi-final between Tunisia and Guinea in Tuesday’s final.

The finalists had secured their place in the last four by defeating Nigeria 55-21 in the quarter-finals.

The tournament is taking place from 15 to 22 September.

The Egypt under-18 side is coached by Mohamed Ibrahim, the former Al Ahly and Egypt player.
