Guela Doue ruled out of Cote d’Ivoire squad for 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Guela Doue will miss Cote d’Ivoire’s upcoming international gathering, with Luck Zogbe called up as his replacement.

The Elephants begin their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against Ghana in Bouake. They will then travel to face Somalia in the second round of matches before taking on Cameroon in a friendly.

Cote d’Ivoire head coach Herve Renard will have to plan without defender Doue for the three fixtures. The Ivorian Football Federation confirmed in a statement that Stade Brestois defender Zogbe had been drafted into the squad.

The call-up represents Zogbe’s first involvement with the national team and will give him his initial experience as an international footballer.
