Tottenham reject two more bids for Richarlison from Shabab Al Ahli Dubai

Tottenham have rejected two further offers from Shabab Al Ahli Dubai for Richarlison, despite the Brazil forward being outside the club’s plans for the 2026-27 season.

The talks were reported by Brazilian broadcaster ESPN, which said the UAE club had approached Tottenham Hotspur about signing the 29-year-old.

Shabab Al Ahli Dubai made two formal bids, but both were turned down by Tottenham. The Premier League club are understood to want to retain Richarlison until the end of 2026 in the hope of receiving more attractive proposals for his transfer.

Richarlison is also reported to have shown little enthusiasm for a move to the United Arab Emirates.

The forward has asked Tottenham to terminate his contract by mutual agreement, but the club rejected that request. As a result, he could remain in limbo for approximately three and a half months.

Unless either Tottenham or the player changes their position, Richarlison will be unable to feature in matches until the end of the year.

The most likely outcome could be for an interested club to reach an agreement with Tottenham in the coming weeks, allowing Richarlison’s transfer to be completed on 1 January when the winter transfer window opens.

Until then, Richarlison is expected to continue waiting while concentrating on maintaining his fitness ahead of the next challenge in his career.

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has already made clear that the Brazilian, who wants to leave the club, will not play for Tottenham during the 2026-27 season.

A proposed move to Brazilian club Vasco da Gama has also failed to materialise. One of the club’s officials explained why the deal could not be completed, although the report did not indicate that an agreement had been reached with Tottenham.

With the vast majority of transfer markets closed for the remainder of 2026, Richarlison’s immediate options are severely limited.

Despite that, there is still reported interest from one UAE club in signing the former Brazil international. Tottenham’s decision to reject Shabab Al Ahli Dubai’s latest approaches means the forward’s future remains unresolved, with a potential January move now appearing the clearest route to an exit.
