Italy face Spain as North Korea and Colombia reach Women’s U20 World Cup semi-finals

The Women’s U20 World Cup semi-final line-up is complete, with Italy, Spain, North Korea and Colombia progressing to the last four.

Spain, champions in 2022, will meet Italy in one of two semi-final ties between former winners. Italy are appearing in the Women’s World Cup finals phase for the first time since 2012, having continued their run deep into the tournament.

Spain have reached their third semi-final in the past four editions. They have also conceded only one goal since the competition began.

The other semi-final will see holders North Korea take on Colombia. North Korea are three-time winners of the competition and have maintained a perfect defensive record, conceding no goals during the tournament.

The two sides were drawn in the same group in the first round, when North Korea secured a clear 3-0 victory.
