Mohamed Salah handed six-month driving ban and £660 fine in Britain

Trabzonspor star Mohamed Salah has reportedly been banned from driving in Britain for six months after being found guilty of a speeding offence dating back to March.

According to reports, the Egyptian forward was caught exceeding the speed limit while driving in Britain earlier this year.

The report claims police were unable to capture a photograph of Salah at the time because of the speed at which the vehicle was travelling.

Following the case, the former Liverpool forward was handed a six-month driving ban and fined £660. He was also ordered to pay £120 in court costs and £264 in compensation.

The incident reportedly occurred in March, after Salah had announced his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 season following nine years at the Premier League club.

Salah subsequently completed a high-profile move to Turkish side Trabzonspor, where he has made an impressive start to life in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 34-year-old reportedly earns an annual salary of €20 million under his contract with the Turkish club.

Despite the off-field setback in Britain, Salah has continued to make headlines with his performances in Turkey.

The Egyptian attacker currently leads the Turkish Super Lig scoring charts with seven goals after six rounds of matches.

Salah was particularly influential in Trabzonspor’s latest league outing, producing a sensational hat-trick to inspire his side to victory over Galatasaray last Saturday.

His prolific start has quickly established him as one of the standout players in the Turkish league, although his six-month driving ban means he will be unable to legally drive in Britain during the period of the punishment.
