Ghana appoint Godwin Attram to Carlos Queiroz’s coaching staff

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed former international Godwin Attram as assistant coach of the senior national team, joining Carlos Queiroz’s staff as preparations intensify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Attram replaces Desmond Ofei, who will now step away from his dual responsibilities to focus exclusively on the Black Meteors, Ghana’s national Under-23 side.

The restructuring is intended to give Ofei the freedom to develop a strong and competitive project centred on the next generation of Ghanaian footballers.

The GFA says the redistribution of responsibilities forms part of a wider plan to improve the performance of the country’s various national teams.

By combining Attram’s experience at senior international level with Ofei’s expertise in youth football, the federation aims to establish the foundations for a successful new cycle.
