Moroccan 17-year-old found hiding under Real Valladolid team bus on return from Ceuta

A 17-year-old Moroccan boy was discovered hiding inside an axle of the Real Valladolid team bus after it left Ceuta for mainland Spain, following the club’s match against AD Ceuta FC.

The teenager had reportedly boarded the bus at the Port of Ceuta and concealed himself underneath it before the vehicle crossed the Strait of Gibraltar. He remained hidden during the journey, which followed Real Valladolid’s 1-1 draw with Ceuta on Sunday.

The match was played at the Estadio Alfonso Murube. After the game, Real Valladolid’s bus left the Port of Ceuta at 21:30, bound for the Port of Algeciras.

More than an hour into the trip, as the bus approached Jerez de la Frontera, members of the travelling party heard cries for help coming from beneath the vehicle.

The driver and the delegation stopped the bus to investigate and found the boy inside one of its axles. He had managed to stay concealed throughout the journey.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported that the teenager was in a stable condition after being found. An initial assessment indicated that he had suffered only some bruising, despite the ordeal.

He was handed over to the relevant authorities, who will take the necessary legal action.
